Written by Derek Benfield of 'Timeslip' and 'Hetty Wainthrop' fame, this fast moving and very funny farce was another hit not only for Sutton Arts but for Director Ian Cornock. The play was so fast moving it was hard at times to work out who was in a relationship with who.
The play is set in the home of Shirley and Gilbert (Faye Arrowsmith and Gary Pritchard). Gilbert is supposed to be in Dusseldorf, so Shirley lets her friend Jane (Hellie England) and Mark(Christopher Commander) who she wants to have an affair with while married to Roger (Allan Lane) who is having an affair with Shirley. What Shirley does not know is that Gilbert is having a relationship with air hostess Helga ( Sophie-Louise Jphnson) and she has come home with him. All of them trapped in the house by a very bad fog. OK – so far so good.
The set was outstanding and the Sutton Arts set builders deserve a special mention.
The cast that Ian put together worked really well and the audience really appreciated this.
Sutton Art – Yet another hit.
