This was a delightful production.

Elise Taylor (Annie) gave a mature performance that belied her age, keeping her accent in role throughout. Lauren Wilson (Miss Hannigan) and Simon Reeve (Rooster Hannigan) played their parts extremely well, with Simon coping with a minor wardrobe malfunction (prosthetic nose kept falling off) very well. Matthew Beck (Oliver Warbucks) and Emily Kay (Grace Farrell) were believable in their roles despite their young age. Kara Oostdjick (Lily St Regis) was good in her supporting role alongside 'Rooster' as ‘the baddies’. In fact all the named parts were well played.

The chorus have numerous roles and changes of costume and all were in the right place at the right time. Their singing was strong and very pleasing. The children clearly enjoyed themselves and didn’t display any obvious signs of nervousness. It was obvious they all had worked very hard. Worthy of special note was Brooke Burke (Orphan Daisy) for her total commitment to her role.

The costumes were good with the children well dressed and well turned out for each scene.
The choreography was well organised and well drilled and the children were confident of their roles and obviously enjoyed their performance.
The production was slick and the set was changed quickly, quietly and without fuss.

Well done to all concerned you should all be very proud of yourselves.
