Children are such a winner in any show and the orphans in this production were no exception. They were lively, moved extremely well and sang their hearts out. Mollie is a lovely part and Maisie Hutchings was ideal as this sparky little girl. All concerned on stage were in extremely good voice and hardly needed the strong sound system provided. Abigail Cox as Annie was very well cast - she looked the part and sang and acted her way into everybody's hearts with Alfie the dog as an excellent companion. Linda Thompson gave us a Miss Hannigan who was definitely not ideal to run an orphanage full of "Little Girls!" and her alcoholic problem was very well portrayed!. Lucy Smith was lovely as Grace Farrel. She was full of compassion and used her acting and singing abilities to great effect. There were great performances from Cliff Bendall as Oliver Warbucks and the baddies - Rooster Hannigan and Lily St Regis played by Damon Willer and Annalie Cotton deserved boos and hisses!. All the smaller parts were played with great verve. Such a lot of hard work must have gone into this production and everyone looked as though they were enjoying themselves. Congratulations to all involved.
