The scenery posed a few headaches for the stage crew but they coped admirably on the First Night. I know things would get easier as the week progressed. The lighting and sound were in capable hands and the orchestra was first rate. There were no weak links in this production which clearly had been well-rehearsed. Lyndon Warnsby was excellent as Warbucks with Cate Merrick playing Grace in stylish manner. Justin Day and Adele Lebeter ['Rooster' Hannigan and Lily St Regis] worked well together while Jo Dewberry's portrayal of Miss Hannigan was predictably nasty. Annie [Amber Ackerman] played a blinder, being appealing and assured in the title role. All twelve of the asorted orphans displayed various characteristics in size and demeanour; a nice touch. Their singing, dancing and acting ability was delightful. The adults in the story also played their parts very well be they Warbucks' servants, U S senators or whatever. I must not forget Honey, the dog playing Sandy either. There was much to applaud in this production. Well done.
