I really don’t know where to start with this review. All I can see is wow where did that come from.
From start to finish this show was full of energy, it was great to see the younger members of the society joining together with the more experienced members.
Leading the company and taking the title role was Eliza Bullock. Very talented and a great find. She sang and acted really well and was hardly off stage. I commend her for all the dialogue she had to learn. Also giving great performances were Paul Lumsden as Oliver ‘Daddy’ Warbucks and Kerrie Penrice as Miss Hannigan. Great support came from Ethan Bowley as Rooster Hannigan and Rhian Horsley as Lilly St. Regis. There are so many people I could mention in this report, but I would run out of paper. Great support and singing came from the remainder of the cast and the ensemble. Paula Lumsden should be very proud of this cast.
I feel I must congratulate all of the children in the production who played the orphans. They worked so well together and you could tell they were enjoying it. I am sure that we will be seeing many of them in roles in the future.
The set looked really good and together with the costumes gave the audience a great visual experience. The orchestra, under the direction of Sheila Pearson sounded great and were just at the right level so that every work could be heard.
Congratulations to you all.
