A show full of enthusiasm from the youngest Orphan up to, and including Oliver Warbucks (Steve Convey), he had a really good working rapport with Annie (Isabella Foster) you could see how he warmed towards her as the production progressed. An excellent performance from the irresponsible, tipsy Miss Hannigan, (Cathryn Riley) who along with the scheming Rooster (Ashley Davies) and his ditsy girl friend Lily, performed a brilliantly choreographed 'Easy Street'. Grace Farrell not only looked good, but could sing and dance making the role her own. A stage full of little Orphans, at least thirty of them, sang, danced and bounced around the stage enthusiastically. Halifax Light Opera Society are well known for their singing chorus, this wonderful ensemble never lets them down. Both Ladies and Gentlemen of the chorus were impeccably dressed in their blue and white uniforms which looked outstanding as they moved about the stage. The cameo roles in the White House and the NBC Radio Studio all maintained their characters throughout. All complimented by a nice Orchestra and good choreography.
