Thank you for inviting Phyllis and I to your production of 'Allo Allo.'
It was good to see a live performance of the well known television series. On entering the auditorium the set looked good and authentic to the period, however it may have been better to have had the piano off stage as it took up a lot of valuable space making it difficult for the performers to move around freely.
It is very difficult for the cast to recreate such famous characters, but on the whole they all managed to do this with style. I thought Simon Armstrong as Rene was excellent his Franglais accent was good and very funny and he kept the pace of the play moving, well done. James Ridehalge as Herr Flick and Tracy McOuat as Helga bounced off each other well, and the comedy was well delivered. All other cast members played their respective roles with style to be honest there was not a weak link in the team.
It was wonderful to hear the sound of laughter in Rosehill Theatre. Thank you for lifting everyones spirits.Well done to everyone involved.
