This musical is based on the first of the Alice tales by Lewis Carroll. Alice follows the White Rabbit down a rabbit hole and that’s when the adventures begin. She meets many famous characters such as The Mad Hatter, the King and Queen of Hearts, The Cheshire Cat and many others.
The show begins with Lewis Carroll, at his desk, telling the story of Alice`s adventures. Tom Hewat was brilliant playing this character, especially as this was his first show. Well Done.
Catherine Leece was perfect as Alice, having good stage presence and a lovely voice.
All the players were well cast. I especially enjoyed the performances of James Howcroft playing The White Rabbit with super vocals. Christina Ford gave us a super Mad Hatter and Jason Taylor was impressive as the Caterpillar.
Congratulations to your chorus. They had worked so hard, as they danced and sang in most numbers.
I was very impressed with the technical work in this show. Sound and lighting were spot on.
The sets were cleverly thought out especially as the sizes altered as Alice shrunk. Music was well chosen and costumes were delightful. I loved the use of puppets, a lovely idea.
Well done everyone for presenting such a great show, and many thanks for the warm welcome.
