Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves – This traditional pantomime got the Silchester treatment using a script by David Swan. Whilst the production had the traditional principal boy the pantomime dame was replaced by a truly sassy character actress who led the very well-cast principal line. The audience had a truly enjoyable evening revelling in the delights of a traditional story with a cast that were immersed in their roles and delivered their lines and songs in a well-rehearsed style working together with the stage crew as a well-oiled team. The sets were a delight and gave the cast the appropriate support in their endeavours. The whole team enabled the production to travel smoothly through the story and give delight to members of the audience of all ages.
