Right Angle Theatre Company-Ali Ba Ba

It was indeed a great pleasure to be invited to this production staged by the very talented Right Angle Theatre Company.

This was an interesting take on the classic and told through the Tales of the Arbian Nights, full of spectacle, fabulous choreography, great comic timing and a very eclectic choice of music.

A well-cast production with strong performances throughout and ably supported by a vibrant ensemble.

Special mention to the good and bad fairies played by sisters Amanda Blacklock and Leanne Robinson, excellent balance of the good and not so good with beautiful voices and interaction to the fore. Also, to the Dame played by the very talented Jodie Millar, who must have been exhausted with the number of costume changes, well balanced comic timing which had the audience in the palm of his hands. Outstanding performance from Stuart Mitchell playing the silly role, great voice, perfect timing and excellent interactions with cast and audience alike.

As I said earlier, a well-cast production with all the principals shinning in their own right.
