A brilliant director, Bridie Rowe, brought this excellent junior production to the Seckford Theatre, supported by some clever choreography by Rosie Fuller.

An excellent cast was led by Sam Brown as Aladdin, still outstanding after his roles in “Les Miserables” and “Grease”.  His singing voice has now gone down a tone, and his next role with CTC will be Baby John in West Side Story.  What a charmer is Leah Head who played a saucy Genie, and really confident and hilarious character!  I thought all the principal parts were very well cast.

A charming Princess Jasmine was Eliza Walker, and her duet with Aladdin was a show stopper, as they sailed away on the magic carpet.  Jafar the baddie was Rhys Elsey who was suitably evil, his make-up was great, aged him 40 years!  The Sultan was Jim Evans and here again was well cast and did well.  I could mention all the cast they were all so very good.  A group of narrators kept the story going.

The costumes were excellent, colourful and correct as was the set and properties.

This group is going from strength to strength and may they succeed for the future.  Well done everyone.
