Aladdin

S.T.A.R.`s annual pantomime in which their Youth Section, Starburst, play the major roles with the adult Society taking the back up parts in this case, the Dame, Wishee Washy, Abanazar,the Vizier & the Empress & Emperor.  Principal Boy (Sarah Gates) and the Princess (Ellie Chambers) were a charming  pair and had most of the singing which they did with great aplomb accompanied with a good quartet of dancers.  Most of the comedy from the youngsters was in the hands of 2 young men Tom Elton & Frank Ryan-Casey who both showed great promise for the future.  The scenery and effects were  excellent with some ravishing costumes hired from the York Theatre Royal. It is good to see young people on stage really enjoying themselves and showing their talent as these youngsters certainly did -  a good omen for the future.
