Congratulations to those responsible for the excellent set and props for this panto. The lighting and special effects, too, were very good, as were the costumes. Written by HTC member, David Ireland, there was plenty of action and comedy together with loads of opportunities for audience participation. Darren Yates was ideally cast as Widow Twankey; his sense of fun is truly infectious. There were no weak links among the main characters. Aladdin [Lorna Law] and the Genies of the Ring and of the Lamp [Beky Bradley and Tom Pavey] were all notable. So, too, were Emily head as So-Shy and Rachel Yates as Princess Luli. The chorus members were supportive and enthusiastic. The choice of musical items was excellent. For a number of these we also had dance routines that were very suitable and nicely performed by the talented dancers. A most enjoyable evening.
