The production team had worked hard with these young players, the whole show was entered into with excitement and enthusiasm. There was a splendid performance given by 15 year old Amy Shepherd as Widow Twankey, many senior Dames would have envied her performance and she really had the audience on her side and what a talent for comedy. James Mason gave us a villainous Abanazar and Chloe Owens as Aladdin gave a strong performance and her partnering with the sweet Princess Jasmine ‘Mollie Shires’ provided good balance. The Genie in the form of Molly Cowley was well played. What can I say about Tom Shepherd playing Wishee Washee except excellent I really enjoyed the laundry scene especially when he went through the mangle and came out as a cardboard cut out, so very well executed, so funny!

Also, a huge well done to Reece Carter. Euan Adams, Max Burrow, Tate Johnston playing Hu-Dun-Pong, Hu-Dun-Song, Yu-Dun-Wong and Yu-Dun-Sing you reminded me of the Keystone Cops. What a good Emperor played by Murray Adams, good performances were also given by Martha Rand as Spirit of the Ring and Katie Gregory as So-Shy, all other parts did a good job. I really thought that the four dancers added very much to the evening’s entertainment, you looked lovely in your dresses. The musical numbers were well chosen, everybody put their hearts and soul into this production and you couldn’t have asked for more, thank you.
