~~On entering the theatre it was like you were sitting in the lounge of Laurence and Beverley’s home where the play takes place. The play is set in the 1970’s and has some very funny moments. The new neighbours Angela and Tom have been invited to come round for the night to welcome them to the neighbourhood. Susan another lady also from down the street is there as it’s her daughter Abigail that is having a party and has asked her mum to be out of the house for the evening.
What follows makes for a very funny evening of flirtation between Beverley and Tom and some great lines for Angela, Laurence and Susan. The two men offer to look in on the party for Susan and come back with the tales of what was going on. While the women are quite happy to carry on drinking the Gin & Tonic, It’s a very funny play acted out to a very high standard.
The great set and attention to costume are very good. The small cast work very well together and the comedy timings were spot on.
I had a very good evening and look forward to your next production.
