What A Scream! With much murder and mirth Monfieth Amateur Dramatic introduced us to The Tombs.

Mad, loud scientist Lucien Tomb was ably portrayed by Steven Armstrong,

Nicky Stewart never came out of character as the distracted, twittering alchemist mass poisoner Dora Tomb, with fantastic facial expressions.

The endlessly hungry Emily Tomb was brilliantly characterised by Flora Lowrey. Her portrayal, complete with mannerisms were all spot on.

Then there is sex mad Monica Tomb played by Shelagh Philips-Robertson, a siren with murder on her mind, toga-clad Marcus who spouts nothing but Shaskespeare portayed by John Hunter and hidden from view probably because of his werewolf tendencies Oliver Tomb, voiced by Isaac Devereux!.

Iona Stewart gave a polished performance as Marcus’s residential carer and mental health nurse Anne Franklin, eventually enlightening us to explain this hilarious complicated plot.

A Tomb With A View is a comedy thriller written by Norman Robbins.

A carefully designed set invited us into the library and home of the eccentric Tomb family. This is where family lawyer Hamilton Penworthy played by Cliff Cuthbertson reads the Tombs late father's will involving millions, when complications arise as an outsider is left a sizeable legacy and into the madness, we are introduced to Peregrine Potter played by Euan Smith and Freda Mountjoy played by Rhoda Burke.

Family members begin to be killed off one by one while Claire Streets as no nonsense housekeeper Agatha Hammond gets rid of the corpses succumbing throughout the script to various deaths; shooting, poisoning, stabbing, and strangling.

Costumes were well chosen, great makeup and sound effects appropriate and on cue. A mixture of comedy and mystery, this play kept us guessing through all the twists and turns. Well done everyone.

Finally, a word of thanks goes to the front of house team, selling programmes and raffle tickets and generally offering a warm welcome to the audience at Monifieth Theatre.
