~~From ‘Lullaby of Broadway’ to ‘Skyfall’ CWAGMS transported us to Hollywood for ‘A Night at The Oscars’ and how the audience enjoyed it. The company had decided to go back to their roots with four part harmony singing and they did this with their usual style and panache. They really looked the business. Some outstanding items were Sharron Burns leading the company with ‘Let It Go’ from Frozen and eight ladies of the company singing ‘Fix You’ from You, Me and Dupree. A wonderful song I had never heard before. I also really enjoyed the selection from ‘The Sound of Music’. Wonderful.
CWAGMS special guests for the evening were The Band Of The West Midlands Fire Service, under the direction of Patrick Ryan, who gave us some wonderful renditions of favourite music, which had the audience singing along.
Concerts like this are not easy to put together so all credit must go to the production team.
A wonderful nights entertainment.
