Christmas always starts for me when I have seen the Trinity Players Yuletide presentation and this year’s was no exception with plenty of style and pernach.

The audience were treated to a great night’s entertainment as we had ‘A Night at the Movies’, from the 40’s and 50’s right up to the present day.

The production opened well with Trinity signing three songs from ‘The Greatest Showman’ including ‘The Greatest Show’ a rousing start.  We then had songs from such movies as ‘Guys and Dolls’, ‘On the Town’ and ‘Evita’.  ‘Everyone Oughta Have a Maid’ was one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time, well done gentlemen.

The first half finished with ‘You will be found’ from the show ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ Very moving.

The second half started with a number from Mary Poppins.  Another outstanding song was from Les Miserable’s, ‘Master of the House’, Well done to Jon and Robin.  It was also good to hear Di Mannion singing a lesser known ABBA song from ‘Mamma Mia ‘Slipping through my fingers’ and hearing the lovely voice of Leigh-Ann James singing ‘I have Nothing from The Bodyguard’.  Sasha gave us a fantastic rendition of ‘With You’ from ‘Ghost, The Musical’ and the evening was rounded off by the whole company singing the Time Warp from Rocky Horror Picture Show.

There are too many good songs to mention but the company gave it everything that they could and it showed.

A great night’s entertainment.
