The beautiful St John’s Church in Hamilton once again provided the setting for Hamilton’s annual spring concert this year entitled ‘A Journey Through Song’ and was a most enjoyable journey that was.
Musical Director Anne McLeod had worked hard to ensure the cast sounded delightful with strong well-balanced harmonies that were just a joy to listen to. Soloists and smaller groups were of the high standard you expect from a Hamilton concert each delivering their song with confidence and showing no signs of opening night nerves.
The musical journey had been well planned by the concert team with something for everyone covering everything from West Side Story, Six and Come from Away to Hairspray and Beautiful – The Carol King Musical.
Movement was simple but effective never taking away from the star of the show the music whilst the costumes added the finishing touch.
Well done to all on and off stage for taking us on your musical journey and delivering a concert you can all be very proud of.
