This society always  seems to do something a little different. The audience were treated to a typical Village fete with games around the sides of the room. On stage was set tables selling jams, cakes and of course entrants for the biggest marrow competition. The play pokes fun at members of such committees, obsessions with celebrities and winning with the biggest marrow

Actor Ray Martin (Colin Dean) famous as TV`s Inspector Brady is to open the fete, Little does he realise that a murder is to be committed and as the fictional inspector he is to solve the crime.

All the cast work very well together but I did enjoy the performances of Chris Wynn as Miss Parmenter and Barbara Lewis  was a super Ms McDoodle.

It was a delight to hear every word, no need for mikes with this group. Everyone gave a great performance and no I won`t tell you who`s done it.

Thank you for a lovely evening.
