MTS performed a Christmas Carol to story follows Ebeneezer Scrooge on night in which he travels with Three Ghosts to see the past, present and future.
The principle cast is very large for production but to highlight just a few: -
Richard Yates as Ebeneezer gave another excellent performance and maintained a high level of performance throughout the whole time on stage which is not easy to do with the stage time required by the character.
Libby Brookes (Christmas Past), Kim Liggins (Christmas Present) and Karen Day (Christmas Future) all gave good performances as their initial characters and ghosts capturing their ghostly essences with some great characteristics together with Dave Adey as Marley’s Ghost.
Chad Fletcher as Bob Cratchit gave a lovely performance capturing the qualities and characteristics of “Bob” he also had lovely scenes with his on stage family the very talented Katy Lloyd ( Mrs Cratchit) Jack Deaves ( Tiny Tim) and Freja Cratchit ( Martha).
Colin Udall (Mr Fezziwig) and Annette Rigby (Mrs Fezziwig) gave well executed performances together with Tony Boucher (Young Scrooge) and Vicky Blair(Emily) who had great on stage chemistry as the Young Scrooge and Emily.
The smaller roles and remaining chorus have good overall performances.
The choreography continued with a high standard MTS has set for itself with Nikki Deeming taking the reigns for the 1st time and set the dances to everyone’s strength which allowed for effortless performed routines.
Set and costumes were well suited to the era with lighting and music adding to the overall performances.
