This company has once again shown us their commitment, talent and enthusiasm when performing their Pantomime.  The script, written by Leo Appleton and Rob Fearn was excellent and the way the story unfolded was a testament to the scriptwriters, the Director, Joe Appleton and the convincing performers. Turning a Dicken’s story into a pantomime is no mean feat but we the audience were taken through all the various emotions of sadness joy and laughter along the way. Pauline Hardie as Musical Director has worked hard with the vocal numbers and it was good to hear a talented four piece live band. Amy Pemberton, Choreographer has encouraged lovely performances from the cast. Costumes, all provided in house were excellent and again Jeanette Appleton and Debra Chantry are to be congratulated. Scenery, props,, sound and lighting were all integral to the success of this production. Make up provided by Lyn Dudek Miller and her team was especially convincing particularly with Ebenezer Scrooge and The Ghosts. Alan Veale, as Ebenezer was outstanding and as usual, he was completely immersed in the role bringing out all the facets of emotion from his miserly existence to his change of heart at the conclusion. Siobhan Palmer as Narrator was excellent in her role and ensured the story unfolded at the right pace. The introduction of the puppet Rapscallion, was inspired, with  actor Millie Amber Quine controlling and voicing him.  This young lady is very talented and she is a name to look out for in the future. Children of all ages were kept interested, focussed and enthralled, always a sign of a good performance. Another great success for this very talented company. Thank you, so much, for your very warm welcome to my wife and myself.
