This sassy musical by Dolly Parton took us back to the 1970’s portraying the story of three female co-workers concocting a plan of revenge on the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot boss of the company, ‘Consolidated’.  The three leading ladies, Suzanne McMillan, office administrator – Violet; Katy Angus, the big-boobed Texan with a brain - Doralee and Megan Daly as the company new start – Judy, were all perfectly suited to the roles providing a solid trio throughout in particular in the drug scene as they each presented their own scenario through the Dance of Death; Cowgirl’s Revenge; and Potion Notion.  Craig Carter provided an accomplished performance as the despicable company boss Franklin Hart Jnr., through his discrimination and bullying of the women in the office which generated the desired reaction from the audience.  There were many hilarious moments throughout the show in particular between secretary and office snoop Roz, brilliantly played by Eileen Clifford in her infatuation with Hart.  Other principal roles were equally well cast with Rebecca Gemmell playing the inebriated office member Margaret; Alan Bankier as Joe the understanding Accountant; Gregor McIntyre, Violet’s cheating husband, Dick; Graeme McDonald, Doralee’s supportive husband Dwayne and Ronnie Honey as the company Chief Executive Officer Mr Tinsworthy, who acknowledged the ability of the trio through improved productivity and ultimately triggering Hart’s transfer to the company’s operation in Bolivia and little was heard of him again.  Those in remaining principal roles provided great performances as did all in the ensemble through song and dance. Singing was excellent supported by the talented musicians in the orchestra and scene changes were seamless which all enhanced the production.  With plenty of humour and a story of revenge, the company provided a thoroughly enjoyable show.
