‘Well – wham, bam, and thank you Mam!’ Dolly would have been feeling very smug had she experienced this amazing production of her well-heeled and popular show - 9 to 5. It was energetic, filled with talent and ran like clockwork on wheels oiled with magic!

Molly Knight, Director, was able to extract an enormous amount of energy from every one of her actors/performers. You had invested totally in your first production – and most importantly – your cast followed through. Whether they were one of the ensemble working in the background or one of the ‘leads’ it was clear that this was first and foremost a team driven production. The fantastic scene changes definitely deserve a mention! Those ‘actors’ involved pulling off the rapid and excellent scene changes were a magical team – slick and quick, all brought together on the night by Steven Porter stage manager.

Abby Wise - easily settled into her role as the ‘newbie’ Violet NewsteadJodie Gower was solid as Judy Bernly, effectively coming alive as the revitalised office manager. Geogia Zacharia-Elliot inhabited the role of the office not so ‘dumb blond’ Doralee Rhodes! Bewitching and be-wigged – and very convincing! I must add that this trio had fabulous vocals, stage presence and timing. Poor Neil Paterson – the captive ‘Office Manager’ Franklin Hart Jnr, didn’t stand a chance but was suitably obnoxious and clearly a man who deserved his comeuppance! Well played. Nice characterisation of Roz Keith by Tyler Nicholson, ah never mind...he wasn't worth it! What a male talent Alfie Murry is playing Joe a male that can actsing, and dance to perfection all three - now vocal coach where will he stop?  Fantastic – I can’t wait to see what happens next. All other smaller roles played by the ensemble were played with gusto, of course we have the seasoned actor of MOS Stuart Clements as Tinsworthy. That wig was well?

Now to those who made all this happen …

The Creatives: Molly Knight – Director I can’t wait to see your next production. My goodness your eye for detail is amazing. What a great team you had – everyone worked their socks off to deliver this exceptional show. Alfie Murray – Vocal Coach: You certainly worked your cast hard – but weren’t they good! There was no weakness in any of the vocal performances – no hesitation; no errors; no lack of engagement … Fantastic! Amy Simpson – Choreographer: So slick – and excuse the pun – spot on and on point.

Both Gordon and I enjoyed a well-crafted performance, thank you MOS for inviting us once again
