SPOOKY FUN WITH Waddington Dramatic Society

Following on from the hugely popular ‘Ladies Down Under,’ Waddington Dramatic Society are back with Pam Valentine’s heart-warming spooky comedy ‘Spirit Level’, directed by Neil Markland and Maria Wagstaff. 

Where do you go if you are dead but have been turned away from the Pearly Gates because you are a card-carrying atheist? For Jack and his long-suffering wife Susie, the obvious choice is their weekend retreat in Hampshire, where Jack, a successful crime author, wrote many of his novels.  The afterlife together can be extremely boring, however, if you can’t eat, sleep, or - ahem do other things! Their only fun is frightening away any prospective new occupants and winding up the pompous estate agent responsible for trying to let their beloved cottage.  But then Flic and Simon, an aspiring author, come along, and Jack and Susie find themselves becoming embroiled in the young couple’s lives. Throw in Flic’s monstrous mother and a harassed over-worked guardian angel who is far from angelic and suddenly their peaceful afterlife gets very interesting!  A crisis arises and Jack must make a choice that will have lasting repercussions. But will it help?

Don’t miss this touching comedy about love, loss and redemption that will have you laughing and crying in equal measure.
