Johnstone Phoenix Youth Theatre are proud to present their 2025 panto Jack and the Beanstalk.

Once again the script has been specially writtedn and tailored to our club by Craig Inglis-McDonald and Murray Keir.

Our Story:

Welcome to Johnstone Ridge – once a happy village, now ruled by the wicked Lady Trudence Tumbleweed, who enforces bizarre rules and fines in the name of a mysterious Giant in the clouds. When villagers can’t pay, they vanish… and no one knows why. Dame Trott and her chaotic family – brave-but-dim Jack, silly Billy, sassy sisters Milly and Tilly, and their beloved (but milkless) cow Pat – are struggling to keep Trott’s Dairy afloat. With debts piling up, they’re forced to sell Pat at market. But Jack meets magical Mother Nature and her cheeky Saplings, who give him a tin of magic baked beans instead of money. Furious, Dame Trott tosses them away – and they grow into a giant beanstalk! As Jack climbs to uncover the truth, he finds surprising secrets in the clouds. Is the Giant really a villain – or is someone else pulling the strings? Packed with songs, sparkle, and a sassy cow, this beany adventure is full of laughs and surprises!
