Iolanthe

Join us for a celebration of musical theatre at this Come & Sing event under the baton of maestro Hannah Long as we sing Gilbert & Sullivan’s Iolanthe. All participants are very welcome and this year we have added some optional chorus rehearsal dates, to enable those not familiar with the piece, or maybe don’t read music, to participate.

On Saturday 21st June, a full cast rehearsal will be held 2pm-5:30pm followed by a ticketed evening performance at 7:30pm.

Whether you would like to bring your musical talents to bear by participating or prefer to sit back with a drink and enjoy the thrills and spills of an impromptu concert performance, join us at Woodside Hall to celebrate the talents of our most famous homespun musical duo, Gilbert & Sullivan, with one of the earliest established musical theatre groups in the UK.

Participation fee is £25 for members, and £40 for non-members, this includes the optional chorus rehearsals detailed below. Audience tickets are £7.50.

Music will be provided at the chorus rehearsals or on the day. Tea and coffee will be available throughout the rehearsals, and the bar will be open before and during the performance.
