York Musical Theatre Company was founded in 1902 under its former name of York Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society. The Company changed its name on reaching its centenary in 2002.
One of the leading Amateur Companies in York, we stage a major musical in April/May each year and a second production in the Autumn. Other productions include summer concerts showcasing musicals performed at venues around the region and Christmas concertscomprising seasonal music and readings, performed at local venues.
