Shakespeare at the George

Shakespeare at the Towers are an amateur group who stage quality open air Shakespeare productions in an authentic venue which has its own fascinating history and offers an equally immersive theatre-going experience.

Between 1959 and 2024, the group were known as Shakespeare at The George and across those 65 years staged open-air productions of Shakespeare’s plays in the courtyard of The George Hotel in Huntingdon.  

After Greene King, the owners of The George Hotel, terminated the contract in the summer of 2024, the group has found a new home at Buckden Towers, just 4 miles down the road.
