In the summer of 1970, the Graseby Singers gave a concert performance of The Pirates of Penzance, at Kingston Assembly Rooms and so was born what soon became Molesey Operatic Society, with the first show being the Mikado. Over the next 20 years there were lots of Gilbert and Sullivan productions interspersed with shows such as Oklahoma, Calamity Jane and Showboat and even Die Fledermaus in 1990. In 2003 the name changed to Molesey Musical Theatre in order to reflect the shows that the society was now performing and over the past few years we have continued to grow. Our aim remains to continue to produce high quality entertainment for the community.
