We all know the story of Treasure Island but this is the first time I have seen it ‘modified’ for the use in pantomime.
Geoff Skelhorn brings his depth of experience in the role of Rosie Bloom, keeper of the Smugglers Inn. Rosie’s son Jim –Edmund Robinson and Penny the Squire’s Daughter – Charlotte Stevenson are very well matched in their roles. It was a change to see Nigel Cooper - Squire Pendragon playing a part other than the Dame, and doing it very well. Other characters, which were too numerous to mention, all performed to the required standards, with chorus and dancers adding their talents to enhance the show. Costumes were spot on as usual and scene changes were swift.
Congratulations to Cathy Roberts for bringing her expertise to this well established group and bringing us an enjoyable evenings entertainment
