This was a truly magical production, what a wonderful group of youngsters involved here.

All the characters were there and although it would be difficult to name every child in this production, special praise must be given to Conner Nainthy who was the eccentric crazy Toad we all love. His antics in his car were brilliant, he looked and was Toad!  Then there was Toby Linsell as Ratty, Oscar Scott as Mole, Josh Hadley as Badger. I could mention everyone but they were also splendid it would be lengthy process.   The costumes were beautifully authentic down to the last button. They looked, spoke and acted just as we imagined them to be, and with over fifty characters to deal with, this was a masterpiece!

The props were great, especially the car and a terrific caravan, pulled by little Lillie Mai Bloomfield.

Nigel Virley must have searched through his whole repertoire to bring the whole thing to life, songs such as “Get out and get under” for Toad, a smart set of policemen singing “Ask a policeman” . Other chorus numbers such as “Out of Town”, “One Singular Sensation” I’m in the Money” to name just a few.

Having just presented a terrific show “Starlight Express”,  with the older members, this talented Company get better and better. With such a great production team they can’t fail to win all accolades going. Congratulations to all involved.
