In house writing and direction from Shaun Ford, this was a murder mystery with a difference and included live music from the talented Nelson King and ghostly encounters. Baz Jenkins designed the realistic night club set, complete with cabaret staging and a well stocked bar. Good dressing with tables and chairs and a dance floor area but still allowing the main actors to move freely. Good effects including the use of dry ice. Glyn Marsh as Detective Chief Inspector Richard Bentley handled a huge script with strength most convincingly throughout. He was well supported by other characters, Sallie Relf and Graham Payne co club owners, Lyn Ford the glam songstress, with Sam Sayers as Ted the heavy and Nat Smith PC Blake and ghost Sergeant Makepeace. Beautiful balletic dance routines. A special mention to John Search for his performance as camp, mincing, barman Sebastian, who I never suspected as being the villain of the piece! Good casting, writing, music and direction. Well done Little Common Players for something quite different.
