Director Peter Dawson has a great cast for this year's Pantomime of Puss In Boots, made up largely from their younger members. There are some great cameos. This was nice to see and you could tell everyone was giving their all and having a great time. The set was simple but effective, lighting and sound just right. The costumes were very good, and very colourful.

Elspeth Dyer takes on the role of Puss, she's very confident, likable and has great character. Alisha Kirk plays Dick another great character they work very well together.

The younger cast really worked very hard and brought a great energy to the show. I really liked Hugo Garfath as the Herald, blowing the horn to announce the arrival of the Queen, it was very funny.

The town is being plagued by the Evil Ogre, played by Miley Ashworth, threatening to eat the townsfolk. Puss comes to the rescue by making him change into different animals until he turns into a mouse and Puss eats him.

Amy Godfrey-Arkle played the Dame, and I also liked Charlotte Dawson as the Halibut both great parts. Rachel Dyer was lovely as the Queen - very regal. John Gardner played the bumbling Lord Chancellor. You could tell everyone that took part kept to their different characters and acted the story out well, and you could tell they were enjoying every minute, and this came across to the audience, who likewise had a great evening's entertainment.

Well done everyone.
