Hairspray

WOW -  what a fantastic way to spend a wet and windy February afternoon  - WOW again!
The show burst into life from the word go and it never stopped!  What a talented group of youngsters on stage, with everyone playing their own individual characters and working so well together.

The company were lead by Eliza Charnook (Tracey) and Benito Preite (Edna) but I must mention the other leading actors – Oliver Wheddon (the heartthrob Link),   Lucy Ledger (Penny), Dylan Springfield (Wilbur), Chloe Hopcroft (Amber) Emily Marshall (Velma), Paige Sisson (Motormouth) , Tom Judson (Corny Collins), Hayden Fletcher (Seaweed)  and not forgetting those who played cameo roles so well. 

The singing was excellent and every word could be heard thanks to your brilliant orchestra led by Dave Dallard.  Congratulations also to Steph Ure for her superb choreography which was so well performed by the whole Company.  The costumes were so right and the set worked wonderfully well.

Congratulations once again to everyone involved in this great production and one that Director Carol Lawson must be so very, very proud of.  It was great to meet everyone on stage afterwards and I never cease to wonder how those sophisticated  characters on stage are all under 18 years of age. WOW!!
