ELf- The Musical - Jnr

A FABULOUS Christmas atmosphere in the Clarence Hall Crickhowell as AAODS Juniors brought Christmas early with their latest production of the ever popular and very famous, Elf the musical.

The excitement was tangible with all the youngsters in the audience, and a great idea, a load of presents in front of the proscenium arch floor to enhance this large theatre space. Opening with Santa, Cat McHallam at home, reading his list in front of a roaring fire, a superb screen effect, enough to melt everyone in the theatre, and then they were off… cast and Elves with attitude hitting the stage with their highly energised dancing and enthusiastic singing, an amazing scene, with
brilliant effects and lighting, one of many!

Tansy Newsom gave a show stopper performance in the central role Buddy, a great singing voice, outstandingly confident with fantastic expressions that really told the story and she skilfully told her story getting to grips perfectly with the dialogue diction.

The rest of the cast all did very well, in some scenes too swift delivery at times.

This is a young cast from 8 to 13 years and what was achieved was brilliant, these youngsters have so much talent and will be stars of the future in AAODS.

One to watch is star performer Molly Hall with outstanding stage presence and diction as Michael, along with Ollie Powell Manager, golden voiced Lily Webb Deb, Cam Mattias Walter, Delilah Jones, Charlie, Bonnie Jones Shawanda, who all had excellent characterisations. Every member of this cast deserve their accolade as they worked as a team and gave their all.

The Creative Production team Director Tom Mogford, M.D. Meg Trinder, Choreographer Alys Le Moignan -Williams have to be congratulated working tirelessly to achieve this high standard for AAODS youth company with total commitment and planning.

Every success for the future to you all AAODS Jrs, I look forward to seeing you on stage next year.
