A Double Bill (Disney’s Aristocats Kids / Rent School Edition)

Disney’s The Arisocats Kids is a musical based on the classic Disney film. It is set in 1910 in the heart of Paris where an eccentric millionairess, played charmingly by Chloe York, bequeaths her entire estate to her high-society cat, Duchess, elegantly portrayed by Bronty Layton and her young kittens delightfully played by William Cousins, Mollie Myhill and Jacob Layton. Thomas Ryan-Edwards was ideal as Madame’s jealous butler who cat-naps the cats and abandons them in the Parisian countryside. Jack Owen was great as strutting Thomas O’Malley and with his fabulous rag-tag bunch of Alley Cats, save the day. We were treated to some lovely songs and actions from the numerous and varied animals beautifully played by the most delightful children, I especially loved the mice and geese. The sets and backcloths added to the atmosphere and the costumes were exquisite. The enthusiam of everyone on stage was so infectious that they had the whole audience enraptured.
