Superb!! direction Vicky Simpson. Stylish Choreography Sally Warsop. Well-chosen and well-executed music by MD Nicholas Grant. Beautiful costumes Josie Simpson Emily Yonge and Olivia Cory. Well-designed and workable set. Seamless set changes by Mike Simpson and his team. Expert lighting James Simpson.

Fabulous comic timing from Vicky Kalber as Idle Jack. Role of  Dame Sarah Smelling fell to David Warsop, the best Dame in my area, real class. Dick, Ellie Parrott, had great stage presence and along with Olivia Morris as Alice gave us the romance and were well teamed together.

Well rounded performances from Tony Dunne and Michelle Grayson as Captain and Bosun. Supporting roles played by Phillip George, Lulu, Tony West, Fitzwarren, a fierce Zac Day as king rat, Suzi Sunderland as the fairy, Dawn Hughes Mustafe Wee, Barry Nichols as Mustafe Wind, all gave good support along with a very regal Queen Buzzbottom, Claire Harrison, and a very cat-like Maddie Giles as Felix the cat. Along with Rona Jackson, Rebecca Graydon and Phil Burns as chorus. Two sets of dancers (team Lulu and Team Alice) I feel sure were equally good as one another. All the dance routines especially the tap routine, were super.

I’m always treated well on arrival by front of house staff. A splendid readable programme. All in all a very professional Dick Whittington by West Wickham Panto society, but then I never expected anything else,. Always keeping Panto alive. All give yourselves a pat on the back.
