Confusions is 5 inter connecting one act plays – 5 actors and 22 characters. The underlying theme is of isolation, desire for companionship together with human frailties which is reflected through comedy and farce. Mary Alderson, David Barham, Nicola Dealtry, Ralph Miller and Stephen Moir expertly characterised their many roles with a naturally funny script, with precision timing, amazing facial expressions, good accents, mime and wonderfully constructed movement. Action took place in a living room, a hotel lounge bar, a restaurant, a marquee at the Village fete and in the park which was constructed by Stephen Beagley. Apparel was so ‘60’s with perfect finishing touches together with well remembered back combed hair styling and costume. Creative effects throughout were beautifully timed and executed. Susan and Sarah produced once again another polished performance. The hall was laid out with cabaret style dining, and a Rachel Walters delicious Coronation Chicken accompanied with new potatoes and salad was served with a Jubilee Pavlova followed. First class.
