Written by HTC member Dominic Hinkins, the script had a delightful freshness about it. There was plenty of light-hearted fun with deft gags from start to finish. The well-known story of Cinderella is a big favourite of many. Sian Macdonald was ideally cast in the title role with Tom Pacey [Buttons] , Lauren Williams [Prince Charming] and Glyn Bates as Dandini all giving telling performances. Yvonne Bates shone as the the Stepmother from Hell with Graham Turner's likeable Baron Hardup being a perfect contract to her. David Taylor and Becky Bradley [Ugly Sisters] together with Josh Lincoln [Lord Lick] and Joseph Bramley as the Rt Hon Mr Spittle were responsible for much of the comedy. The rest of the cast and chorus members contributed greatly to the show. I enjoyed the dance routines and liked the choice of songs. The set was simple in desigh; very suitable for a small stage, so scene-chenges took place smoothly. The delightful costumes were a real credit to the ladies responsible for them. A great evening's entertainment.
