DELICIOUS !!
Its not often I start my reviews with one single word, but MOS you deseve it!! Firstly, I must appolgise for being a few minutes late.
This Charlie was perfect in every way, yes I said perfect!! Steve Porter you gave us phenomenal direction in this ‘Charlie and the Choclate Factory' and, along with Amy Simpson and Brya Porter as your choregraphers (with such energy), made this Charley another hit for MOS productions.
Willy Wonka (Stuart Clements) took this role and made it his own and his presence on stage was outstanding, both in acting and singing, a true master of his craft. Grandpa Joe (Steve Porter) such a nice part, his characterisation of Grandpa Joe was superlative as was his direction. Charlie (Magdalena de Rosnfeld) what a Charlie Magdalena gave us (as does Darlia North I suspect in future performances) a lovely controlled performance, both in acting and singing - well done to her. Everyone (too many to mention) on that stage gave their all to the audience (which I must say deserved more) this is a very classy Charlie. Such a large cast of talent, young and old, made this a professionally pesented Charlie and award worthy. Sound: Charlie George: loud and clear. Lighting Steve Porter and Charlie George: spot on; Wardrobe: Donna Clements and Amy Simpson well executed. Stage Manager Ian Mackenzie pulled this altogether, with slick precision scene changes and the back prejection I adored. Programme: great layout, but I would have liked biogs of the lead performers, this helps when writing reviews and gives your audiences an insight to what they have done before. I know, but they might not. Thank you MOS for inviting my guest and, I as I said at the start…DELICIOUS !!
