Arthur Miller's powerful drama posed a huge challenge to the members of the cast. They met it very well. It told the story of a dark mystery concerning the members of a couple of families in a small Ohio town. Joe Keller was the owner of a large company manufacturing components for aircraft in the early 1940s. Shirley Moffat played his indomitable wife, Kate, and Andy Bye took the part of their son, Chris. Their other son was presumed to have died. We also encountered Ann and George Deever, played by Lorna Law and Wil Harkes. All these actors had to reveal considerable depths of a variety of emotions as the tale unfolded. They did so wonderfully well. Good support was given by Chris and Sheena Liversidge, Chris Hawkins, Adele Simmpson and young Henry Cross , all of whom played neighbours of the Kellers. The set of the front of the Kellers' house and garden was extremely good. the lighting and other effects were fine and the costumes were suitable for the post war era. Congratulations to all concerned.
