Afternoon Tea ‘Alphabet Soup’ Concert
Theatre4all
4/6/23
Theatre4all are a talented theatre group set up just under two years ago and has made its name known in the area of Neston and Burton by bringing community theatre to the area. This show will be raising funds for Autism Together, a cause which is important to many of the cast members. The charity also attended the performance.
The afternoon’s sold-out performance will be a trip down memory lane, spanning 70 years, from 1950’s to present day including classics such as Calamity Jane, Oliver, My Fair Lady and The Sound of Music, West Side Story, Chess, Joseph and more recent Phantom of the Opera, Wicked and Anastasia. The unique plus to this performance is it is served with an afternoon tea, which was delicious. What an amazing way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon in June.
The duets, congratulations to twins Binny Williams, Kathy Dally for (Pie Jesu Requiem) Yvonne Ross & Eric Roberts (All I ask of you) Allison Brown & Jennifer Tyler (I know him so well) Nikki & Jennifer Tyler (What if). Soloists Eric Roberts (Get me to the church on time) Julie Withe (Wouldn’t it be Lovely & Think of Me) Binny Williams (Climb every Mountain & Wishing you were somehow here again) Kathy Dally (Secret Love & As long as he needs Me) Ryan Williams (Reviewing the situation & Still) Charlotte Tyler (Maybe). Have to say well done to Charlotte and Ryan two fine performances.
It is impossible to identify an individual performance with a show like this; every single cast member gave their all to the songs they covered both well-established show favourites and the new breed of musicals.
This show was an absolute joy, full company finale’ Any Dream will Do’ everyone on that stage enjoyed the experience and it showed, what fun they had.
What fun we the audience had.
Thank you for a true community theatre experience, looking forward to the next production.
