What a celebration!! This was a truly royal occasion! It all began with a film of her Majesty’s succession day right up to some very memorable reminders of her life over the past years. There followed a brilliant programme of songs, dancing and comedy from all the eras up to the present date, on stage. The Company worked very hard on this production and packed so much into it. The comedy was in the form of Paul Leech and Mike Brown as Hinge and Bracket – hilarious!
Co of Four did invite Her Majesty and she replied saying although she was unable to attend, she wished the Company every success. She would have enjoyed this! The fifties included Rock Around the Clock and Hand Jive, for the sixties there were songs from the shows, South Pacific, Oliver and Mary Poppins, the seventies had songs from Bugsy Malone, Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar etc. Right up through the eighties to the present day – all well-known selections brilliantly presented.
I thought this was terrific, so much so, I’m coming back next week for the one performance at the Spa, Felixstowe. See you there.
