A Christmas Carol a Pantomime was written by Rob Fearn & Leo Appleton, following the traditional story line, but with some twists and turns along the way and some new characters added for a bit of a pantomime feel.

Director & Choreographer Helen Sanderson, has a great cast for this production. Everyone plays their part well with lots of attention to detail bringing each character to life. This is a large cast production so everyone has their chance to shine. Musical Director Pamela Davies has also worked hard with the music & songs, the small orchestra is just right. The set looks nice, lighting and sound was good, with just a little hiccup with the sound at the beginning but was quickly rectified. The costumes were just right, the ghost costumes and makeup were really good.

The story starts with a Narrator played by Jennifer Edwards, who keeps the play flowing along with the aid of Rapscallion played by Lois Parr. The two work well together with some witty lines between them. The first two ghosts we meet are Sid Spectre played by Kerrie Worlock and Jacob Marley played by Christine Talbot, with some great lines they keep the pace going.

Ebenezer Scrooge is played by Christopher Wortley, he is excellent in the part and every bit the miser. He has a couple of great songs I really liked There's a Ghost in my House, and Ghostbusters with the chorus. It's really good to see the change in his character as the story goes along, as he meets the different ghosts and he becomes the likeable Scrooge.

The Cratchit family all work well together, Huw Davies plays Bob, Helen Balk plays Mrs Cratchit, James Hartshorne is Peter, Brooke Bemment is Martha, Abigail Davies is Belinda and Izzy Wilson takes on Tiny Tim. The three main Ghosts are Hannah Worlock as Christmas Past, Lisa Phillips as Christmas Present and Sarah Graham as Christmas Yet to Come, this was a funny twist as she had to call her agent to be able to speak and get paid for it. Ross Burton plays Fred his nephew and another good number was Be Our Guest at his home. Everyone each played their part well, and you could tell everyone was enjoying themselves. Well done to you all.
