GDPR Factsheet
Data protection guidelines are changing this year. We have created a new factsheet, called GDPR- The Facts, that will help you to understand what this means for you and how it might affect your society.
What is the GDPR?
It stands for General Data Protection Regulations and it exists to ensure good practice when handling data.
When does it come into force?
25th May 2018
What does it mean?
The GDPR demands more of organisations in terms of accountability for their use of “personal data” and adds to the existing rights of individuals. Societies must be able to demonstrate that they process and handle “personal data” in a fair, lawful and responsible manner.
