AUDITIONS - ANTONY & CLEOPATRA

 

The Greek Theatre Players produce an annual open air Shakespeare at the atmospheric Greek-style theatre in Walthamstow Village.

This year’s production is Antony and Cleopatra and we are inviting everyone who’s interested in taking part to our open auditions. These are on Saturday 1st February and Saturday 8th February from 10 til 1 – choose which date you want to come.

The play is the last and most poetic of Shakespeare’s great tragedies, with a blend of drama, comedy, tragedy and romance that no-one has ever matched, not even Shakespeare himself. It is a real and rewarding challenge for the actor.

The production week is Saturday 19 July to Saturday 26 July inclusive, including a performance in the gardens of Copped Hall, a restored country house.

We hope to see some new faces and new friends at the auditions.  This is a chance to engage with a truly great play in a magical and unique setting.
