Aladin and the Wonderful Lamp by Will Davies

This traditional pantomime tells of a boy who finds a lamp, an uncle he never knew he had and love.

The story of our hero the dreamer Aladdin and his many money making schemes.   He works with his mother, the dotty dame, Widow Twankey and cheeky brother Wishee Washee in the family’s failing laundry business.  A chance sighting of the beautiful Princess Jasmine brings love but even though the doddery Emperor is looking for someone to marry his daughter, this can never be, things like that do not happen to boys like Aladdin.  Then he meets the evil magician Abanazar (surely panto’s greatest villain) who says he is the boy’s long lost uncle and promises untold wealth for just a few minutes help. Can this be his way to the love of his life?

Along the way we meet the magical Spirit of the Ring, the grumpiest Genie in Peking and the only remaining police officers in the Peking Constabulary (austerity has hit Peking hard) and have problems with a flying carpet.

Full of colour, songs, dances and laughs book your tickets soon to come with us on a magical journey to Old Peking.
