Recently I have seen a Youth Production and now an adult performance of Rock of Ages. Loughborough are to be congratulated on their performance and it leaves me in no doubt that this is much more suited to adults. James Nelson must be commended on getting together a group of nine principals who were all outstanding. Peter Fines presented a band of very talented musicians. Choreography was tight and well suited to this rock musical. The supportiing cast all worked well to provide a very polished show. Unfortunately the evening was let down by very poor sound which did detract from the performances with the audience struggling to hear what was being sung and spoken. However for those aficionados of the rock genre, the fine quality of singing and music negated the need to hear the lyrics and libretto and the audience loved it.
