" What do you think of it so far, RUBBISH". Not at all. In actual fact it was a most entertaining evening, supported by a healthy audience number. This was a traditional Pantomime with all the hisses and boos, comedy interludes and audience participation inviting children up on to the stage, all nicely worked into the piece. This is a churchgroup, performing in the church hall with limited stage space but making use ofevery inch of it.                                                                                                                                                                                                     There were some lovely characters in the show Gerty the Da( Bob Taylor) Maria Red Riding Hood (Shannon Poleon) and Prince Bernard(Jenni Griffiths). Other principals included Wilson Midgley, Tammy Ferguson,David McChrystal,Sam Bolton,Catherine Dean, Ann Walker (Fairy Queen), Andrew Griffiths, Wolf and Matt Charlton, but the outstanding role was Susan Hope as( Horrible Hilda) the (Wicked Witch). She was superb with excellent acting and clear diction. In the programme notes Geraldine Brown informed us that this was her first time as Director, with 14 adults and 21 children it was not easy but she could be well pleased with her effort.

As is normal with most societies help is limitless, and in this production,Set design Costumes,Lighting and Sound all contributed to a resounding success. Direction was by Geraldine Brown and Dominic Bradley. Thanks to St.Bernadettes for the usual hospitality and warm and friendly welcome.
